Job Opportunity: CCTV Operator – Temporary Contract 🌟 Position: CCTV Operator Contract Duration: ASAP – 6 Month Contract, With the possibility of an extension. Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour (PAYE) Location: E17 4JF Job Purpose The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring and managing surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and premises. The role involves real-time surveillance, reviewing recorded footage, reporting suspicious activity, and coordinating with security personnel and law enforcement when necessary. Key Responsibilities: CCTV Monitoring & Surveillance: Operate and monitor CCTV systems to detect and prevent security risks. Maintain constant vigilance on multiple screens, ensuring quick identification of suspicious activities. Track and monitor individuals or incidents as required. Incident Response & Reporting: Respond promptly to security alerts, alarms, or unusual activity. Record and report incidents accurately to the relevant authorities. Provide clear and detailed evidence for investigations. System Maintenance & Compliance: Ensure all CCTV equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults. Follow data protection laws and maintain confidentiality of recorded footage. Keep detailed logs of incidents and system checks. Liaising with Security & Law Enforcement: Communicate with on-site security teams, emergency responders, and law enforcement as needed. Assist in security operations by providing live intelligence from CCTV footage. General Duties: Maintain a professional and alert presence in the control room. Adhere to company security policies and procedures. Conduct regular system tests and report any technical issues.Skills and Requirements: Valid SIA CCTV License CCTV Control Room experience (Minimum 2 years) Flexible to be allocated shifts requiring cover, sometimes at short notice. An element of data entry skills is required for the position.
