Anti-Social Behaviour Officer Location: Ladbroke Grove London, W10 5UP Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 3+ Months Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week Pay rate: £ 23.20 per hour Job Ref: (phone number removed) Responsibilities Deliver outstanding services to residents living in council-owned or managed properties, embedding a resident-first approach. Specific responsibilities include: Take effective actions to address Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and improve the overall quality of life for Council residents. Support the ASB Manager and Neighbourhood Teams by working closely with key community safety partnerships (internal and external). Ensure that casework is of the highest quality, providing support to residents throughout the process and striving for continuous service improvement. Investigate all allocated ASB cases, acting as the single point of contact to ensure effective and measurable outcomes. Support reporters and perpetrators, taking prompt enforcement or preventative actions and collaborating with agencies and partners when relevant. Ensure all cases referred to legal have sufficient evidence for court and demonstrate adherence to current legislation. Address safeguarding issues as part of a multi-agency approach, working to remove residents from immediate risk and informing a long-term action plan. Contribute to the development of estate action plans and design out crime surveys to resolve nuisance, environmental crime, and ASB on estates. Support the ASB Manager and Head of Neighbourhood Management in delivering the ASB communications strategy. Develop initiatives to reduce and prevent ASB, tailoring them based on estate profiles and key issues to increase resident satisfaction. Attend relevant meetings as requested by the ASB Manager or Senior Management Team. Support the development of ASB case management processes and skills of the Neighbourhood Management Teams. Respond to Members Enquiries/Complaints related to cases being managed by the ASB Team. Carry out any other duties as requested as part of the role of ASB Manager. Person Specification Essential qualifications and skills include: A professional qualification related to ASB and Housing or extensive experience relevant to social housing and ASB. GCSEs A to C grade in English. Ability to apply relevant legislative tools available to the Council as a social housing landlord. Experience working within the remits of civil court proceedings and legal processes. Highly organized with the ability to manage a varied workload, prioritize effectively, and produce high-quality work within set deadlines. Knowledge of housing legislation and other landlord-related obligations as set out in relevant legislation and best practice. Demonstrable excellent customer service skills and a coordinated working approach. Experience working with local councillors and MPs. Experience preparing for and presenting cases in court. Experience working in housing and delivering services to residents of social housing landlords. Ability to identify pre-legal remedies for resolving ASB and put these into action. Ability to contribute to others\’ development with shared best practice. Proficiency in using a range of IT software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
