The company offers end-to-end solutions, including initial surveys, scoping documentation, design, installation, and commissioning of turnkey water and wastewater treatment projects. Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mechanical Design Engineer, based in Widnes, Cheshire. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing mechanical designs, overseeing product design projects, creating P&ID's, creating technical drawings, and utilising 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (AutoCAD Plant 3D). The engineer will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver engineering solutions for water and wastewater treatment projects. Additionally, they will ensure that all designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering principles
  • Proficiency in System Design and Product Design
  • Skilled in using 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (AutoCAD Plant 3D) for technical drawing and design
  • Skilled in using viewing platforms Navis Works
  • Skilled in using photogrammetry software such as RECAP
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in the water or wastewater industry is advantageous
