We’re looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the Bid Director. This is a critical role that contributes significantly to the success of our tender submissions.
About the Role
As a Pre-construction Manager, you will be at the heart of our estimating function, working closely with the Bid Directors to ensure successful project submissions. You will oversee tender planning, design coordination, and value engineering while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Review tender and PQQ documents, ensuring clarity on scope and requirements.
- Allocate tasks across the team, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.
- Lead the preparation of technical submissions, including methodologies, planning, and programming narratives.
- Develop and deliver tender presentations for client interviews.
- Coordinate with designers to produce cost-effective and buildable tender designs.
- Identify and manage risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions during the tender process.
- Serve as the main technical point of contact for clients during tenders.
- Attend site visits, tender settlement meetings, and post-tender discussions.
- Ensure proper records and QA procedures are maintained throughout the process.
What you’ll need:
- Experience in pre-construction or estimating (Preferable but not essential).
- Experience working within the civil engineering industry.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with SHEQ systems and their application in the workplace.
