We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Perth, Scotland. This permanent, full-time role is essential for supporting our construction projects by assisting in cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget, contributing to the overall success of our organisation in the building and construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Support the quantity surveying team in managing project costs and financial reporting.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and gather data for cost analysis.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of project expenditures and variations.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and suppliers as required.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple tasks effectively.
