Due to an exceptional year of performance and continued business growth, we are looking to appoint a Civils Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding commercial team. This is a site-based role, working across projects in Central Scotland, offering hands-on involvement in the commercial management of live civils works and the opportunity to play a key role in the continued success of our projects.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will ensure robust cost control, efficient procurement, and effective contract administration, all of which are vital to the successful delivery of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of projects, ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting.
- Manage variations, claims, and contractual notifications in line with contractual obligations and company procedures.
- Prepare and review contract documentation, including involvement in pre-contract negotiations and regular cost reporting.
- Liaise effectively with clients, employers' commercial teams, and subcontractors to support seamless project delivery.
- Oversee procurement planning and subcontractor management, ensuring effective change control processes are in place.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, preparing and agreeing interim applications for payment and final accounts.
- Implement robust value engineering and risk management strategies to maximise project performance.
- Reconcile weekly costs for plant, materials, and labour against budget to maintain financial control.

You will be confident building strong relationships with stakeholders and thrive in a collaborative team environment. A solid understanding of the UK infrastructure sector is essential.
What You’ll Bring

- Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
- A working knowledge of multiple types of civil engineering contracts.
- Full UK driving licence.
