About the Role
We are seeking a Sub Agent to oversee site operations, ensuring civil engineering projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. You will play a key role in coordinating site teams, enforcing health & safety, managing resources, and liaising with engineers, subcontractors, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) standards.
- Represent the company professionally, fostering positive working relationships.
- Assist in planning, programming, and executing works in line with contract requirements.
- Support in hiring labour and plant, placing sub-contracts, and procuring materials.
- Supervise and manage staff, subcontractors, and site resources effectively.
- Monitor and control site costs, ensuring efficiency and adherence to budgets.
- Assist with valuations, subcontractor payments, and commercial reporting.
- Maintain accurate site records and provide reports on progress and resource usage.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and submitted on time.
- Attend site meetings, liaise with stakeholders, and assist with design management where applicable.
- Support and mentor junior colleagues while actively seeking professional development opportunities.
What we are looking for:
- Qualifications: HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction.
- Certifications: CSCS Card (Essential), SMSTS & TWS/TWC (Desirable).
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the engineering or construction sector.
Skills:
- Strong IT knowledge, proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong time management and the ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Other Requirements: Full UK driving licence.
