We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team.
This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Responsibilities
- Support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
- Engage with customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
- Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision).
- Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
- Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
Qualifications
GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
Training to be Provided
Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.
Future Prospects
This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
