We are looking for an experienced Security Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable solutions for cutting‑edge AI platforms. This role is critical in shaping the security architecture for agentic AI systems, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards while enabling innovation. You will create high‑level designs, define architecture patterns, and provide technical leadership across large‑scale transformation programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution design and produce Solution Design Documents aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop new architecture patterns and sign off on key design decisions, deviations, and technical risks.
- Translate Agentic AI Identity and Access requirements into secure, efficient architectures.
- Present solutions at design authorities and to senior stakeholders.
- Provide technical thought leadership and act as a subject matter expert for AI-driven security solutions.
- Ensure governance compliance, including AI governance frameworks (e.g., AIRCo).
Cybersecurity Expertise
Significant experience in two or more domains, including:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Agentic AI/ML Services
- Cloud Provider AI Services
- Policy-driven Access Control
- Proven ability to design IAM solutions for agentic AI platforms.
- Broad IT background with strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in enterprise and solution architecture interlock.
- Hands‑on experience in operational and transformation cybersecurity roles.
- Familiarity with GCP, Kubernetes, and large-scale IT transformation programmes.
Platform & Technology
- Proficiency in BizzDesign, Archi, or UML for high-level designs.
- Expertise in Jira for project/task management and Confluence for documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of LangChain, AutoGen, or similar agentic AI frameworks.
- Understanding of AI safety and governance principles.
Contract & Location
Contract will be inside IR35. Successful candidates will be required to work in client’s office 3 days per week. This can be a choice of Edinburgh, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham.
