We are seeking a talented professional to support and enhance a web application backed by an Azure-hosted Data Lake. This is central to firewall rule recertification for CheckPoint, Illumio, and Fortinet, and we are expanding its capabilities to include WAF, Network Segmentation, and Proxy services.
This role offers the opportunity to architect new features, drive innovation, and support a major re-platforming initiative to modernize our infrastructure. If you thrive on solving complex problems and shaping secure, scalable solutions, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Develop: Architect new features and enhancements for UPP to meet evolving security requirements.
- Re-platforming: Contribute to migrating the service to a modern infrastructure.
- Integration: Design robust APIs to connect systems and services seamlessly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with technical SMEs and stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Security Leadership: Represent Cyber Services at technical and security design authorities, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Compliance: Identify control gaps, develop remediation plans, and manage residual risk across local and national programs.
- Cybersecurity Expertise: Strong background in operational and transformational cybersecurity roles.
- Software Architecture: System Design using architecture patterns.
- Data Modelling and entity relationship diagrams.
- API Design and integration frameworks.
- Enterprise & Solution Architecture: Understanding of roles and interdependencies.
- Transformation Experience: Proven track record in large-scale IT transformation programs.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex security concepts to non-security technical teams.
- Governance: Experience managing separation of control from technical design authority responsibilities.
Contract will be inside IR35. Role will be hybrid, 3 days per week in the client office, any of Edinburgh/Sheffield/Birmingham/Manchester.
