We are currently seeking a Team Teach trained Teaching Assistant to work in one of our SEN Schools.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and behaviour challenges, and who thrives in a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement personalised support plans
  • Use de-escalation techniques and strategies, in line with Team Teach training, to manage challenging behaviours safely and effectively
  • Help create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Assist with classroom management, lesson preparation, and pastoral care
  • Promote independence, inclusion, and emotional resilience in pupils

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a valid Team Teach certificate (preferably within the last 2–3 years)
  • Have previous experience working with children with SEND or behavioural difficulties, preferably in a school setting
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience
  • Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Be confident in supporting pupils with varied needs, including SEMH, ADHD, and Autism
  • Have a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and procedures
