I C Talent is currently recruiting an experienced and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support a school based in Speke. This role involves working closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those who display challenging behaviour. We are looking for someone resilient, patient, and confident in supporting pupils with additional needs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs.
  • Assist with managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using a calm and consistent approach.
  • Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and emotional regulation.
  • Help create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with SEN pupils.
  • Experience supporting challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive in all situations.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
