I C Talent are currently recruiting for a nurturing and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in St Neots, working with secondary-aged students on a full-time basis, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a primary-trained teacher who is passionate about supporting young people who may have experienced challenges within mainstream education.
The Role
- Deliver engaging, accessible lessons to secondary-aged students
- Use a nurturing and relationship-based approach to teaching
- Adapt lessons to meet individual learning and emotional needs
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Support students with their academic, social and emotional development
- Work closely with support staff and the wider school team
- Help create a calm, safe and positive learning environment
The Ideal Teacher
- Nurturing, patient and empathetic
- Primary-trained or has strong primary teaching experience
- Confident working with secondary-aged pupils
- Experienced in, or interested in, working within an SEMH setting
- Skilled at building positive relationships with students
- Calm and consistent in their approach
- Adaptable and able to respond to individual needs
- Passionate about helping young people reach their potential
Experience working with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour is desirable, but the right attitude and nurturing approach are equally important.
