We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in either primary, secondary, or SEN settings.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons and providing targeted support to pupils. You may work 1:1 with individual students, in small groups, or support whole-class learning depending on school needs. This role offers flexibility, with opportunities for daily supply work, short-term placements, and longer-term roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with learning activities in and out of the classroom
- Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist teachers in preparing classroom resources
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive engagement
- Support pupils with additional needs where required
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Experience working with children (school-based experience desirable but not essential)

- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
