Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? I C Talent is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school in King's Lynn, seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full-time, ongoing role with the potential to become permanent for the right person.

You'll be supporting either primary or secondary-aged pupils, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing educational environment.

The Role:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Help create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
  • Support students both in and out of the classroom.
  • Work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team to implement individual support strategies.
  • Build positive relationships that encourage emotional regulation and personal development.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour is desirable.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
  • Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential – attitude and experience are key.
