This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring educator to join a supportive and forward-thinking department, contributing to the delivery of high-quality Health and Social Care education to students across Key Stage 3 / Key Stage 4.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Health and Social Care lessons in line with the national curriculum and/or relevant qualification frameworks.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback and implementing appropriate interventions to support attainment.
- Contribute to the development of schemes of work, curriculum planning, and departmental initiatives.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports students in achieving their academic and vocational goals.
- Participate in wider school activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- A degree or relevant qualification in Health and Social Care or a closely related subject.
- Previous experience teaching Health and Social Care at [KS4/KS5/BTEC/A Level] is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people to succeed.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
