The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons to students across a range of abilities. The role will include full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment and marking. You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons
- Prepare practical and theory-based lessons
- Teach students across a range of abilities
- Support students with practical cooking and food preparation
- Complete planning, assessment and marking
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage students to develop their confidence and practical skills
- Work closely with colleagues and the wider school team
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about Food Technology and education
- Creative, enthusiastic and engaging
- Confident teaching practical lessons
- Organised and able to manage planning and marking
- Patient and supportive
- Reliable and committed
- A strong communicator and team player
- QTS or equivalent is desirable
- Previous experience teaching Food Technology within a school setting is desirable
