The Role
- Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience welcomed where applicable)
- Supporting students’ understanding across Biology, Chemistry and Physics (specialism considered)
- Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress to raise attainment
- Creating a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment with high expectations
- Working collaboratively with the Head of Science, technicians, Teaching Assistants and wider staff
- Adapting teaching strategies to support students with SEND, EAL or additional learning needs
- Building positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- Contributing to enrichment activities, practical investigations and intervention programmes
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred – ECTs and experienced teachers encouraged to apply
- Confident teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
- Passionate about Science and inspiring young people to learn
- Calm, reflective and consistent in their approach to behaviour management
- A strong communicator and effective team player
- Organised, adaptable and confident in managing practical lessons safely
