Are you a confident and adaptable Cover Teacher looking for a new opportunity in the Long Sutton area?
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive schools on a long-term basis, starting as soon as possible.
The Role
As a Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering lessons across a range of subjects and year groups, following pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring students remain engaged and focused throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
- Following lesson plans and school policies effectively.
- Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
- Managing classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
- Supporting students with their learning and development.
- Providing feedback to relevant staff where appropriate.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Has strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Is confident teaching across different subjects and year groups.
- Is adaptable, reliable and enthusiastic.
- Can build positive relationships with students.
- Is able to follow lesson plans and school procedures effectively.
- Has a professional and positive approach to education.
QTS is desirable but not essential, and experienced cover supervisors or graduates with relevant school experience may also be considered.
