The role of Junior Consultant at H&Z is the first step on a Management Consulting career path with Europe's leading procurement consultancy. Working as part of a team, and with focused development, training and mentoring, you will take early responsibility for the management and delivery of cost improvement initiatives across direct and indirect categories, support organizational transformation initiatives, work closely with the implementation of leading procurement technology and support our client's supply chain decarbonization and ESG initiatives. Confident working on your own, you'll also thrive in a team environment, and you'll relish a big challenge. Most of all, you'll need to be highly motivated with the passion to achieve outstanding results.

Responsibilities:

  • Spend analysis
  • Supply market and product analysis
  • Development of sourcing and category strategies
  • Managing tender and e-auction processes
  • Supporting supplier negotiations
  • Process improvement and digital transformation
  • Managing a variety of stakeholders, at all levels
  • Implementation of cost improvement plans

Requirements:

  • An excellent degree (with procurement, supply chain, economics or business orientation)
  • (Ideally) Work placement experience within procurement/commercial and/or consultancy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Enjoy solving complex problems
  • Clear understanding of technical issues
  • Very good communication skills
  • Strong results focus
  • Global outlook and commercial awareness
  • Flexible, and the ability to work hard as part of a team and to work well under pressure
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent English
  • Other language (German language skills desirable)
