The Quality Improvement & Service Transformation Team are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team. In this exciting opportunity, the postholder will support the development and delivery of improvement projects aimed at achieving high quality patient care. The postholder will play a key role in assisting with project development, supporting the Quality Improvement Practitioner's to deliver projects within specific quality indicators using QI methodology. Working collaboratively, within a dynamic team, the postholder will help demonstrate measurable impact, support innovative ways of working and contribute to continuous improvement across the Health Board, ensuring that the highest standards of quality patient care are delivered.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will be responsible for supporting the development of project/improvement plans for the delivery of specific projects within the Quality Improvement and Service Transformation Team for implementation across the Health Board.
  • The successful candidate will lead, motivate, engage and guide staff involved in the project ensuring regular communication is made, feedback is obtained, meetings are held and appropriate reports are presented and agreed actions are implemented.
  • Demonstrate a visible commitment to improving services for patients.
  • To represent the Health Board professionally both internally and externally and to be the champion of specific projects.
  • To ensure active communication with key members of the implementation team and to persuade and influence stakeholders including senior clinical staff to agree and co-operate with the project implementation plan.
  • To ensure that all employees involved in the project are effectively communicated with, taking on board the nature of the project, this may involve hostile and highly emotional situations which will need to be dealt with using good negotiating and persuading skills, as co-operation is needed.
  • Deliver a range of training sessions to all levels of staff on projects and project developments.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, accountability, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to manage priorities within a fast paced environment.
