Hywel Dda Health Board is looking for a motivated, passionate and experienced physiotherapist to join the newly established Children and Young People's Weight Management Service. The successful applicant will provide specialist physiotherapy input into the service, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to design, implement and evaluate weight management care for children and young people. This post allows flexibility to be based across Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.
Main duties of the job:
- Develop and maintain clinical standards in weight management for children and young people across the Health Board.
- Develop a competency-based framework for therapy practitioners and support staff in line with national frameworks; plan and deliver skills-based training.
- Work with other health care staff and partners to develop, implement and deliver the weight management clinical pathway, acting as the physiotherapy expert and supporting others across all levels of the pathway.
- Autonomously manage a caseload of clients with highly specialised complex needs, using evidence-based, client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions within weight management for children and young people.
