An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse on Ward 1 at Withybush General Hospital. The role requires evidence‑based practice, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a readiness to innovate and develop nursing within a team approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible clinical leadership, ensuring safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care.
- Manage the ward/team workforce, including recruitment, appraisal, performance, and staff wellbeing.
- Lead on quality, safety, and clinical governance, including audits, risk management, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operational management, including patient flow, capacity, and resource use.
- Support staff development, education, and a positive team culture.
- Ensure an excellent patient experience, responding to feedback and driving improvements.
- Contribute to service development and organisational priorities, deputising for senior colleagues as required.
Qualifications
