This is an exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Neurophysiology Team. Applications are invited from efficient and suitably qualified individuals for a part-time Senior Medical Secretary position, working 22.5 hours per week at Glangwili General Hospital on a permanent basis. The working days for the successful candidate will be Monday to Wednesday to meet service needs.
You will support the delivery of a comprehensive secretarial service to Consultants and the Neurophysiology team, undertaking duties such as mail handling, audio transcription, and uploading sensitive reports to hospital databases, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, initiative, tact, diplomacy, and strong communication skills are essential. Proven secretarial skills, experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and medical terminology are required. Familiarity with the health board’s patient database system and other relevant IT packages is also necessary. Knowledge of Welsh is desirable; applications from English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
