The Elizabeth Williams Clinic is seeking a skilled and motivated Secondary CAMHS Team Lead to provide clinical and operational leadership to a dynamic, supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team based in Llanelli. The team delivers specialist secondary mental health care to children and young people across the Llanelli postcode area, working closely with families and partner agencies.
Main Duties
- Provide clinical and operational leadership, promoting safe, compassionate and evidence‑based practice.
- Oversee team caseload, allocating assessments and interventions to ensure timely, appropriate care with due regard to complexity and risk.
- Provide supervision, professional support and performance management to junior and unqualified staff, while leading on safeguarding practice and ensuring statutory and local requirements are met.
- Oversee care planning and risk management for children and young people at increased risk of harm or admission, and coordinate transitions, including the transfer of complex cases to adult mental health services.
- Maintain high standards of clinical recording, audit and quality assurance, contribute to reporting and governance processes, represent the team within the wider system through multi‑agency working, and support service development and improvement aligned with Health Board and Welsh Government priorities.
- Ensure the team delivers high‑quality, safe and effective care to children and young people with complex mental health needs and associated risk.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
