The MSK physiotherapy team are offering the opportunity for a full‑time permanent physiotherapist to join the team. The service operates across Hywel Dda University Health Board. The current vacancies are based in Pembrokeshire.
The MSK service offers Hydrotherapy, Pelvic Health, gym‑based exercise classes and delivery of the Escape programme for the management of patients with osteoarthritis of the hip and knee. We work closely with the national exercise referral scheme and are developing links with third‑sector activity providers to further support service users after their rehabilitation course.
The post holder will form part of an existing team of physiotherapists responsible for delivering patient rehabilitation services within the Musculoskeletal team, including Pelvic Health. Duties include:
- Collaboration with inter‑ and multi‑disciplinary teams (MDT) to provide holistic care
- Managing a caseload of self‑referrals and referrals from GP's, AHP's, Social Service practitioners and Consultants
- Delivering autonomous, evidence‑based interventions
The role may involve working flexibly across primary, community and secondary care sites, and requires participation in continuous professional development, education/supervision of junior staff and students, and support for service modernisation, audit and service evaluation processes.
Key requirements include the ability to work flexibly as part of a 7‑day service on a rota basis, and availability for the on‑call respiratory service.
