We are looking for motivated and dynamic Nursing Support Workers to join our dedicated Ward 8/CCU team in Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest. There is an opportunity to learn new skills and gain further experience in caring for acutely unwell patients while developing professionally within a positive and challenging environment. This role will require you to undertake delegated clinical observations and to communicate effectively.

Main Duties include:

  • Assist patients with personal care (washing, dressing, feeding, mobility).
  • Monitor and record observations (e.g. BP, pulse, oxygen levels, NEWS2).
  • Support patients with oxygen therapy and respiratory care (as trained).
  • Assist with basic clinical tasks (ECGs, blood sugars, specimen collection).
  • Recognise and report any changes or deterioration.
  • Maintain patient dignity, comfort, and safety.
  • Support infection prevention and ward cleanliness.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.

The unit operates a variety of shift patterns to suit service requirements including days/night rotation. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
