Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Nursing Support Worker on Dewi Ward in Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen. The post offers the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in caring for frail patients. Dementia and frailty are a growing challenge within healthcare, and we, as healthcare professionals, are at the forefront of providing the dignity, support and care that people deserve. The aim of the role is to improve the patient experience by promoting patients’ independence, focusing on mobility, nutrition and hydration to maintain and maximise their functional ability.
Main duties of the job
The post holder should hold an NVQ level 3 in Health or equivalent. They are expected to demonstrate good communication skills, be an excellent team player, and be able to work alone. The role involves working alongside the nursing and therapies team, and includes working 7 days a week with both night and day duty.
Being able to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
