Job Overview
An opportunity has become available for a Specialist Occupational Therapy Technician to join the South Ceredigion Community Mental Health Team.
You will be integral within the multi‑disciplinary community and ward team and wider service provisions. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential as you will hold a degree of autonomy across both settings.
Main Duties
You will work as part of an Occupational Therapy team to deliver planned Occupational Therapy interventions, supporting individuals’ rehabilitation and recovery through activity.
Under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist, you will deliver one‑to‑one and group interventions within community settings, aimed at promoting independence and psychological well‑being.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with clients with serious and enduring mental illness in a therapeutic or rehabilitation role.
- Completion of the Occupational Therapy Support Worker Diploma or currently working towards completion.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously across community and ward settings.
- Desirable ability to speak Welsh (English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome).
