It is an exciting time to join our welcoming and friendly team of 27 Anaesthetic Consultants based at Glangwili General Hospital. The successful candidate will support the NHS and academic staff by contributing to the on‑call rota and providing senior anaesthetic cover for elective, emergency and trauma surgery. There are opportunities to deliver clinical care on emergency and trauma lists and gain further experience in a variety of specialities, including general surgery, ENT and ophthalmology.

The role is for a Locum Consultant Anaesthetist with a specialist interest in peri‑operative medicine. The post holder will provide high‑quality care for patients within the Anaesthetic Department and peri‑operative care for elective and emergency patients across the range of specialities available within Hywel Dda UHB.

Responsibilities include:

  • High‑Risk pre‑assessment
  • CPET clinics
  • Assistance with the Pre‑habilitation service
