We are looking for dynamic and proactive receptionists to join our expanding Urgent Care Centre (UCC) at Prince Philip Hospital. This is an opportunity to be part of a progressive, patient‑focused service providing high‑quality care for individuals presenting with urgent but non‑life‑threatening conditions. The post holder staffs the Reception Desk and facilitates the smooth running of the UCC in conjunction with the UCC Team. Responsibilities:

  • Register all new UCC patients and ensure accurate filing, collection and onward transmission of patient records.
  • Take and relay information related to patient care.
  • Answer telephone queries in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Refer telephone queries that require patient care or advice to a Registered Nurse.
  • Inform the Nurse‑in‑charge of any patient presenting in distress or who appears acutely unwell, and report any concerns about patients' well‑being, complaints or queries regarding a patient's condition to the relevant clinician.
  • Work a 7‑day‑a‑week schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
