We are seeking an experienced Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to join Hywel Dda University Health Board, based at Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli, within the South West Wales NHS. This locum role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality musculoskeletal physiotherapy to patients with a range of acute and chronic conditions, supporting recovery, mobility, and overall physical wellbeing.
Deliver specialist musculoskeletal assessments and treatments for a range of conditions including soft tissue injuries, post-fracture rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain. Develop and implement individualised treatment programmes tailored to patients' functional goals. Support patients with exercise therapy, manual therapy, and self-management education. Liaise closely with consultants, nurses, and other allied health professionals to provide coordinated, patient-centred care. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with NHS and HCPC professional standards. Contribute to service development, audits, and quality improvement activities within the MSK department. Provide guidance and advice to patients, carers, and colleagues to support ongoing rehabilitation and prevention of further injury.
You will be a proactive and skilled MSK Physiotherapist with strong clinical reasoning and excellent communication skills. With a background in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, you will be confident managing your own caseload and delivering evidence-based treatment plans. You will bring a collaborative, patient-focused approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional care in line with NHS values.

- Degree (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Previous NHS experience (essential).
- Proven experience in MSK physiotherapy, including management of soft tissue, post-operative, and chronic conditions.
- Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Car driver preferred due to potential travel between clinics.
