An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 3 Nursing Support Worker (Community) to work with the District Nursing Team covering the Towy Valley area.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standard, cost‑effective nursing care under the supervision of the Team Leader or delegated representative.
  • Ensure patients receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions as directed.
  • Work independently within a framework agreed by the Team Leader while acting under the direction of the nurse in charge of the caseload.
  • Communicate effectively at all times with team members and act as a role model for Student Nurses.
  • Travel efficiently between rural sites where public transport is limited or unavailable.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to develop in the Nursing Support Worker role and to work flexibly within the team.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision within an agreed framework.
  • Desirable: ability to speak Welsh; English speakers are equally welcome.
