Fixed term/secondment until 30/06/2027 due to maternity cover. Hywel Dda University Health Board is looking for a Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join the Theatre department in Withybush General Hospital based in Haverfordwest for a 12‑month fixed term/secondment post.
Responsibilities
- Participate in elective and emergency surgery in the main operating theatres.
- Work weekends as well as weekdays, as required.
- Provide support to the surgical team, ensuring patient safety and evidence‑based care.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of theatre equipment.
- Follow a structured induction programme and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Work as part of an on‑call team.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner experience.
- Willingness and ability to work on‑call.
- Desirable to speak Welsh; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
