Ward 1 is a 24‑bed trauma and orthopaedic ward in Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest. It specialises in the management of spinal fractures and hip fractures and will provide you with the opportunity to care for patients with complex needs. We are a warm, friendly multidisciplinary team of professionals who work closely together to provide high quality, holistic‑driven, evidence‑based care to all our patients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Sister and multidisciplinary team in providing patient‑centred, high‑standard care.
- Manage patient care safely and efficiently.
- Demonstrate evidence‑based practice and apply it in clinical work.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and the care team.
- Show readiness to innovate and develop nursing within a team approach.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership abilities and a forward‑thinking approach.
- Experience in a trauma and orthopaedic setting is desirable.
- Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
