We are looking for a conscientious, hard-working, caring person to join our team as a Senior Radiology Clinical Support Worker in the Radiology department at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest. This is a fixed term contract. It is essential that you enjoy working with people and have great communication skills. You must have patience and be methodical, work well in a team but have the ability to take initiative and work individually. This post is full time and includes working long days and weekend working.
Main duties of the jobAs part of this dedicated, friendly and supportive team, you will be expected to assist clinical staff during examinations rotating through multiple areas within Radiology. You will assist with scans, be directly involved with patient care, maintain the unit's stock and perform other general clerical and clinical duties. This is a full time position working in a busy Radiology Department that serves a large geographical area.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. Interviews to be held on 30/1/2026.

Person SpecificationQualifications & Knowledge
- Level 3 qualification in relevant healthcare subject, or possess the equivalent skills, knowledge and experience with a commitment to undertake on the job training to NVQ level 3 accreditation.
- Understanding of the role of radiographic support workers
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Knowledge of clinical work
Experience
- Previous experience of working with the public in paid or voluntary roles
- Experience of using computers
- Experience in supportive/assistant role, such as Radiology Support Worker or Healthcare Support Worker, working within a hospital/caring environment
- Experience in a range of clinical skills, including aseptic techniques
