We are looking for a conscientious, hard-working, caring person to join our team as a Radiology Clinical Support Worker in the Radiology department at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest. It is essential that you enjoy working with people and have great communication skills. You must have patience and be methodical, and work well in a team. This post is full time and may include working long days and weekend working. Interviews to be held on 13/2/2026.

Main duties of the job

As part of our dedicated, friendly and supportive team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting clinical staff during examinations
  • Providing essential portering support
  • Carrying out a range of administrative duties to help keep the department running smoothly

This is a full-time position based at Withybush General Hospital, a busy Radiology Department serving a large geographical area. The role also includes rotation to our community site in Tenby.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • GCSE qualifications (grades 9 - 4 or A* - C) or equivalent, to include maths and English.
  • A commitment to achieve Level 2 in Health and Social Care/Clinical Healthcare Support.
  • NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in health care related subject.

Experience

  • Previous experience of working with the public in paid or voluntary roles.
  • Experience of using computers.
  • Previous healthcare/imaging department experience.
  • Clerical/office experience.

Other

  • Ability to move and handle equipment and assist with manual handling of patients.
  • Willingness to undertake further training.
  • Welsh Speaker (Level 1).
