Ward One is a 24 bedded Trauma and Orthopaedic ward in Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest. We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and innovative Nursing Support Worker to join our team on Ward One based at Withybush General Hospital. You will need to have an interest in Trauma and Orthopaedics and be committed to delivering high standards of patient care.
Successful candidates can look forward to working in a professional environment with a team that is passionate about delivering outstanding care to patients and their families. We work together to create a positive team spirit, recognising achievements and celebrating success. We will provide a supportive environment and mentorship. Team working is an integral part of the running of the ward.
Main duties of the job
- The Unit requires Nursing Support Workers who are keen to learn and able to adopt a flexible approach to work.
- There is an opportunity to learn new skills and develop professionally within a positive and challenging environment.
- You will ensure that patients receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions as directed by the registered nurse and/or therapists.
- You will always communicate effectively and in conjunction with other team members, contribute to and maintain the ward philosophy.
- The rota involves a variety of shift patterns including day/night duty to suit service requirements.
- The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
