We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Clerical Officer to join the Pembrokeshire School Nursing Team. The post holder will provide a comprehensive, professional and confidential administrative service to support the delivery of high‑quality care to children and young people. You will work independently and as part of a supportive team, ensuring information is accurate, up‑to‑date and completed within agreed timescales. This is a 37.5‑hour per week permanent role, working all year round.
Main Duties
- The successful candidate will travel between schools and office bases, providing clerical support to the School Nursing Team.
- The role includes general administrative support: dealing with enquiries, managing room bookings, filing, liaising with internal and external staff, meeting and greeting service users for clinics, providing non‑clinical appointment information, handling telephone and email queries, taking minutes when required, managing mail, ordering supplies, maintaining notice boards and reporting estate issues.
- All responsibilities must be carried out in line with Health Board policies and procedures.
- Willingness to travel and flexibility are required.
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Level 2 qualification such as GCSE or equivalent experience.
- Numeracy and literacy skills.
- Good knowledge of IT, including Microsoft 365.
- Desirable: ECDL or equivalent IT qualification.
- Previous office administration experience.
- Welsh language speaker Level 1.
Language Skills
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
