We are delighted to offer a newly created Band 6 Clinical Lead Pharmacy Technician post based at Prince Philip Hospital. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technician to take the next step in their career and play a pivotal role in advancing clinical pharmacy technician services within the Health Board.
Applications will only be accepted from staff currently employed by Hywel Dda University Health Board.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership for Pharmacy Technician services, supporting and developing ward‑based practice to enhance patient‑focused care.
- Design, coordinate and deliver education and training programmes to enable Pharmacy Technicians to build the competencies required for effective clinical roles, including supervision and assessment in practice.
- Perform line management duties, including supervising staff, supporting performance and development, contributing to recruitment, workforce planning and promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Lead on the organisation and delivery of undergraduate pharmacy student placements, working collaboratively with education providers and the multidisciplinary team to ensure a high‑quality learning experience and to support safe and effective use of medicines across the organisation.
