Applications are invited for the post of a Carpenter within the site‑based Estates Operational Maintenance team. The role is to provide a safe, comfortable environment for patients, staff and visitors by ensuring all essential services are maintained to support clinical departments in their prime task of treating patients while complying with all statutory legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Fault finding and repairing a wide range of building elements.
  • Multi‑skilling work, including:
    • Fire doors
    • Locks and security
    • Roofing
    • Leak repairs
    • Minor developments
    • Windows
    • Other associated building skills
    • Knowledge of current building regulations
  • Marking out accurately and constructing from drawings and plans.
  • Supporting the site operational management staff with day‑to‑day operational engineering and building maintenance, which includes engineering services, buildings, grounds and gardens.
  • Operating to Health Board standards supporting the C4C audits.

The position requires a degree of flexibility depending on the needs of the service. The post‑holder will be an integral part of a strong site‑based locality. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
