Job Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse in the Endoscopy Unit at Glangwili General Hospital. This is a part‑time post, with a flexible approach to a six‑day working week and includes an on‑call out‑of‑hours rota.
Main Duties
The successful applicant will have endoscopy experience and be an enthusiastic team member, with effective organisational and communication skills.
The post will involve the care of patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, taking charge of the unit, ensuring standards are maintained and acting as mentor to junior staff. The candidate will work closely with the multi‑disciplinary team and other health professionals, helping to develop all aspects of the endoscopy service in line with the Health Board strategies and working towards the maintenance of JAG accreditation.
Qualifications
Endoscopy experience is essential. The candidate should have strong organisational and communication skills and an enthusiastic team spirit.
Speaking Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
