Hywel Dda University Health Board Research and Development team is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Research Assistant to provide administrative support for commercial/non‑commercial clinical trials and research studies across the Health Board. The successful candidate will play a key role in the administration and data management support for all aspects of the Research Delivery Team at Glangwili Hospital, and will work alongside a geographically spread team to support researchers with high‑quality studies throughout the health board.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and data management support for all aspects of trial organisation as an integrated member of the team.
  • Assist with the co‑ordination of a portfolio of clinical trials across various disease sites.
  • Provide limited clinical support where appropriate to facilitate the delivery of a clinical trial.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Willingness to learn about research trial set‑up, protocols and their application to practice, including local, national and international research regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and flexibly support the service.
  • Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
