Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking to recruit Two Project Support Managers (Business Support) within the Public Health Directorate on a permanent basis. The successful applicants will project manage various projects within the Directorate.
Successful candidates should have a proactive approach to solving problems; they should also have effective communication skills and be able to build good working relationships. Applicants should as a minimum be educated to degree level or equivalent experience and have project management support experience.
Interviews will be held in person at Hafen Derwen, St. David's Park, Carmarthen and the successful candidate will be expected to work from the office once a week or as required.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting role which will provide project management support to distinct projects within the Public Health Directorate. Successful candidates should have a proactive approach to solving problems, effective communication skills, and the ability to build good working relationships.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, especially MS Planner / Project, MS Teams and SharePoint, is essential.
- Demonstrable experience of supporting and managing projects is essential, as is experience of organising and coordinating a range of complex projects simultaneously.
- Successful applicants should be able to communicate effectively in writing, face to face and over the telephone with a wide-ranging audience including clinicians, technicians, managers and administrators.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Degree or equivalent experience / CPD
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, especially MS Planner / Project, MS Teams, SharePoint
- Understanding of systems in use within NHS organisations including primary, community and secondary care
- Project Management Qualification
- An understanding of various social media packages (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)

- Demonstrable experience of supporting and managing projects
- Demonstrable experience of organising and coordinating a range of complex projects simultaneously
- Experience of working within an NHS environment
- An understanding of project methodology
