We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to provide administration support within the Mental Health Act administration team. The post holder will possess excellent communication skills to handle communications both by telephone and email and have excellent attention to detail to enable them to accurately record data on a range of patient and office systems. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate initiative in planning and prioritising their workload. The role will involve undertaking a range of administrative processes associated with the Mental Health Act, and therefore the post holder must be aware of the confidential nature of this role. This is a demanding and interesting role and full training will be provided on relevant areas of the Mental Health Act.
Main duties of the job
- Provide administration processes in order to capture data on the use of the Mental Health Act (MHA) using Microsoft Teams, Office 365 and other IT packages.
- Act as key point for addressing general enquiries from the organisation and its stakeholders, relating to the use of the Mental Health Act, in a manner to ensure a professional and confidential service at all times. This information will be strictly in relation to Section 117 of the Mental Health Act i.e. entitlement to aftercare.
- Update and extract information via the approved systems, as well as maintaining efficient manual and computerised filing systems within the department.
- Be responsible for maintaining the register of persons entitled to Section 117 aftercare provisions and providing information and reports relating to that register. (Full training will be given)
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
