Job overview: Applications are invited for the post of Maintenance Assistant within the site-based Estates Operational Maintenance team. The Maintenance Assistant will be part of an estates maintenance team which includes various craftspersons, ensuring that plant and equipment are maintained to an appropriate standard, to support clinical service departments in their prime task of treating patients.
Advert: Working within the Maintenance Policies & Procedures, you will be required to maintain and repair a variety of Mechanical/Electrical equipment, plant and services in conjunction with undertaking a range of duties associated with other trades, as appropriate i.e., multi-skilling. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the environment is both pleasant and safe for patients, staff and visitors, together with maximising organisational effectiveness that will improve service delivery. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities: Please note that successful applicants will commence employment on the first point of the incremental scale. There is an opportunity to apply to commence at a higher point on the pay scale where applicants can demonstrate relevant transferable skills, experience, and qualifications.
