An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as a Health Intervention Coordinator. The post holder will lead the development and implementation of a specialist local health improvement programme, evaluate its effectiveness for staff, and identify alternative strategies as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sustainable, organisation-wide health promotion programme aligned with relevant national policies, best practices, and workforce wellbeing frameworks.
  • Lead the development of long-term strategies to meet Welsh Government targets and sustain health promotion across the workforce.
  • Provide specialist advice and practical support to staff to enable engagement in innovative approaches to improving health and wellbeing.
  • Attend and contribute to relevant internal and external forums.
  • Lead the annual staff influenza vaccination programme, including planning, communication, data collection, and reporting.
  • Work closely with Communications, Public Health, and Infection Prevention and Control teams to maximise uptake and achieve vaccination targets.
  • Support and expand a sustainable ‘Peer Vaccinator’ model by identifying, training, and developing staff in this role.
  • Ensure effective and efficient use of resources, including authorisation of relevant expenditure.

Additional Information

The role will include the development and maintenance of a Peer Vaccinator Model and a Wellbeing Champion Model in association with relevant services. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, either as a UK or Republic of Ireland national or holding a Health and Care visa or a Skilled Worker visa.
