Hywel Dda University Health Board is delighted to offer this opportunity for a Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine. This role is ideal for a motivated doctor seeking to broaden their clinical experience in a dynamic, patient‑centred environment. As a Clinical Fellow, you will play a key role within our Emergency Department team, delivering high‑quality, timely care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients attending the Accident & Emergency Department, including arranging and interpreting appropriate investigations in collaboration with Pathology and Radiology services. Main Duties
- Admit, assess, and manage patients under Consultant supervision
- Formulate and implement comprehensive care and treatment plans
- Review patients regularly with senior clinicians and specialty doctors
- Present and contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and carers
- Arrange and interpret investigations, ensuring timely and appropriate clinical decisions
- Participate fully in multidisciplinary treatment programmes
- Provide medical cover across wards and, where appropriate, in community settings
- Assess, review, and discharge patients safely under supervision
- Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues when required
- Maintain clear, accurate, and up‑to‑date patient records
- Support colleagues by participating in cross‑cover arrangements
- Work flexibly and collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to deliver high‑quality care
- Practice in accordance with NICE guidelines and all relevant legislation

Eligibility
