We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Podiatrist/Orthotist with a proven track record in innovation to fulfil the role of Deputy Head of Podiatry/Orthotics Manager in Hywel Dda Health Board. The successful candidate must have substantial clinical experience in Podiatry service and demonstrable up to date experience of advanced practice in clinical work.
Main Duties of the Job
- Providing professional leadership and management of staff within the department, ensuring that all services are delivered to recognised national and Health Care standards.
- Assist the Head of Service with the strategic development, modernisation, and innovation of the service and lead its implementation within a variety of settings, working closely with key stakeholders and partners.
- Deputise for the Head of Service at both operational and strategic levels within the Health Board and with local partners as required.
- Work with the Head of Service and other service leads to ensure that all policies, procedures, and financial processes for the service are in line with national standards and are implemented equitably across the service.
- Manage a clinical caseload of clients with complex needs at an advanced clinical level using evidence-based practice.
- Lead the clinical governance agenda within the department, promoting clinically effective practice and adherence to HCPC/professional standards.

We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.
