We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Assistant Practitioner to join our dedicated and friendly team of staff on the Clinical Decisions Unit in Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen.
The Assistant Practitioner will work as an integral member of CDU, providing high-quality, patient-centred care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute medical conditions. Working under the direction and supervision of registered nurses and medical staff, the post holder will undertake delegated clinical tasks, contribute to patient assessment and care planning, and support the efficient flow of patients through the admission pathway.
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of person-centred, safe, individualised care under the delegated authority of a registered nurse.
To perform duties and activities within the framework of a plan of care.
To assist patients in achieving physical and emotional well-being and comfort.
To ensure that any changes in a patient's condition is reported immediately to the appropriate Registered Nurse.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
